Using still and moving image Katie Jade combines fantasy with reality to
create a highly personal perspective on the human form. Her work aspires to
provide the audience with escape from the mundane; leading them into a
romantic narrative. It endeavours to encapsulate a modern fairytale, with an
aura of enigmatic enchantment.
Interest in art, fashion and photography began at an early age when she
would spend hours styling her dolls and then take photographs of them.
Later on her passion would develop and she went on to study at Norwich
University of the Arts, graduating with a BA (Hons) in photography.
Various media have featured her work and among these are magazines, CD
album covers and Arts programmes. These include the Unexposed Magazine,
Seilenos, the Great Hall Theatre Company and High Voltage Hair Studios. Her
work was shown in the 2012 Counterpoint Exhibition in Norwich.
